Default Question about sword usage 55 Monk

Hi all,

I have a question about where i should put my enchant mod on.
I have been a 55hp monk for quite long time, always with a 15% mod. I recently bought a 20% sword pommel mod, but i got no idea what kind of sword i should be looking for, since the collectors' that i have seen are axes.

If any of you can help me out please post suggestion below and the costs.

Thanks very much,

~Nefhi

+5 while enchanted can be a rather nice mod in many builds, altough I personaly put a +5 defense pommel not an enchanting pommel on my monk's Charr sword.

Besides that and a +5e sword, I don't know of any swords that would be particuarly usefull to a monk.

EDIT:haha, I didn't notice the 55-in the title somehow, hah >_< In that case, +armor is worthless.

well there is the pre searing longsword with the crystaline skin. it has 5% casting time for all spells. thatas what i use with a 19% pommel. either that or get a +5 energy sword. Katari, remember hes asking about 55ing. which in that case armor + whatever isnt needed

Maybe not a sword, but you could always use the Fiery Flame Spitter if you either A) Prefer axes, or B) Prefered the 10% chance of faster recharge to +5 energy. I personally prefer the +5 energy, though I hear them called "noob swords" all too often, so whichever floats your boat.

At the end of the day, it's up to you and which skin you prefer. The FFS (axe) and HoD sword were the popular choices due to the 10% recharge or +5 bonus. Personally, I prefer the 10% recharge but I didn't like the look of my 55 characters weilding an axe so I went for swords. The HoD sword was way too expensive (at the time), and I don't see +5 energy much of a benefit when a 55 usually have more than enough energy from skills and spells. I just put my enchantment pommels on nice swords that dropped during my adventures. 2 of my 55s weild a Firey Dragon Sword, and the other a gladius.

It really is up too you if you want to go sword or axe. like everyone said it's up to your what you want more...recharge or energy. I go with energy since there are times when i am running or low on foes that I need that extra bit to keep myself from dying. For the recharge the 10% chance doesn't do it for me since your skills aren't chained together where a fast recharge would be nice. there is always a gap in between spells...at least for me there is.

Alright, thanks all for your comments. Since I like the look of swords more and i prefer the +5 energy, I'll go for the Shichiroji katana.

Am I wrong, or does not the 10% translate into an 'extra' SoJ, without having to wait for recharge (well, 1 time in 10). I'll admit it's not that useful ; the only mod that really changes things for me is the +enchant.

all i can say is what a waste, lol having said that i bought a gold fellblade with 19% enchanting, and the damage 14% wile enchanted. before the mod drop rate was nerfed for 60k.....guess looks do matter.

I find the "extra" SoJ quite nice when it pops up.

Less time waiting = more fun!
